Lehr, Justin

Major:
Computer Engineering

What is the RISE area of interest during your first year and why?:

My area of interest during my first year is Instruction because I am currently a TA for CMSC330, which is my first time TAing for a programming class. RISE gives me the opportunity to grow as a teacher and maintain good and constant communication with my professor who will act as my mentor.

What is the RISE area of interest during your second year and why?:

During my second year, I plan on doing research. This is because I have always been interested in doing research with a faculty member and RISE would be a good reason to take the initiative and find a research opportunity. I would also be able to do research to fulfill requirements in my ACES minor.

What are your involvements and or extracurricular activities?:

I am a trumpet player for the Mighty Sound of Maryland Marching Band and am a member of the Cybersecurity Club.

What is your cool engineering experience?:

My cool engineering experience was during my internship last summer where we demodulated and decoded tire pressure monitoring system signals in order to recreate false packets to send back to the car.
