Chemical Engineering

What is the RISE area of interest during your first year and why?:

Instruction is the area of interest for my first year. I believe that learning is a fluid and adaptive process and being able to help other students in this is especially important. I enjoy teaching and I think this would provide a great opportunity to further develop my skills as an instructor.

What is the RISE area of interest during your second year and why?:

The area of interest during my second year is research. Research is an important component related to my major so I would like to further explore this during my second concentration.

What are your involvements and or extracurricular activities?:
I am an Honors Ambassador and University Honors Peer Mentor as well as Co-President of InnoWorks, an all student-run science camp held for the local middle school kids during summer. Additionally, I work as a math tutor for the Math Success Program and as a student worker for the Honors College.
What is your cool engineering experience?:

A cool engineering experience was building the OSV during ENES 100 because it was a totally new experience for me and it was neat to be able to watch our final product actually run.
