Plotkin, Zachary

Plotkin, Zack
Major:
Aerospace Engineering

What is the RISE area of interest during your first year and why?:

Service. I am an Ambassador Coordinator for the Clark School of Engineering. I find that it is a position that allows me to develop leadership and administrative skills while simultaneously passing on my love for the Clark School of Engineering to others.

What is the RISE area of interest during your second year and why?:

Research. As an engineer, it is very cool to be working with cutting edge technology. Through my research, I hope to learn a lot, discover new technologies that I have never worked with, and hopefully make an impact on the field of aerospace engineering.

What are your involvements and or extracurricular activities?:
  • Ambassador Coordinator
  • Sigma Gamma Tau
  • Alpha Epsilon Pi
  • Univeristy Honors
  • Aerospace Honors
What is your cool engineering experience?:

This past summer I had the opportunity to work for the Boeing Company in Everett, WA. The Boeing 747 is really the plane that sparked my interest in the field of aerospace engineering. Being able to spend a summer working on it and being able to walk into the factory and see it every day was an amazing experience.
