Majorczak, Noelle

Major:
Computer Engineering

What is the RISE area of interest during your first year and why?:

Instruction is my RISE area of interest for my first year. Instruction, especially at the undergrad level, gives such a unique experience to interact with your peers at an intellectual level. I am very excited to engage in important discussions with my peers.

What is the RISE area of interest during your second year and why?:

In my second year I hope to focus on the RISE area of research. I have always wanted to get involved in research during school. I’m not entirely sure what I want to do after graduation, so believe it would be really beneficial for me to see if I enjoy research.

What are your involvements and or extracurricular activities?:
  • I have finished my College Park Scholars, Science, Technology, and Society citation. I was a mentor and a teaching assistant during the Spring 2015 semester. I hope to continue to be a teaching assistant with my program in the future.
  • I also am in the Quality Enhancement Systems and Teams (QUEST) Honors Program, and will be a mentor for an incoming cohort during Spring 2016.
  • I am also a Resident Assistant with the Resident Life Association in Cumberland Hall.
What is your cool engineering experience?:

This summer I am working with Johnson and Johnson as an Energy Conservation Intern. I have always been interested in energy so this experience is really exciting for me. I have the opportunity to help Johnson and Johnson become a more sustainable company world wide which is really exciting for me.
