Kruder, Nathaniel

Nathaniel Kruder
Major:
Aerospace Engineering

What is the RISE area of interest during your first year and why?:

My RISE area of interest during my first year is Research. Since I am a part of the Aerospace Honors Program as well, doing research will help fulfill both of these programs. Also, I want to figure out if research is something I will find very interesting and want to pursue later in life. Research will be a great way to meet other professors and understand what aerospace is all about.

What is the RISE area of interest during your second year and why?:

My RISE area of interest during my second year is Instructor. As a Gemstone section leader, I enjoy being able to help younger students who are new to the program. With teaching these younger students, I hope that some of them will come back and be a section leader for the new freshmen students.

What are your involvements and or extracurricular activities?:

GEMS102 and GEMS202 Section Leader; Member of the Aerospace Honors Program; Intramural Flag Football; AIAA member; Enjoy working out and relaxing with friends on my free time.

What is your cool engineering experience?:

My cool engineering experience was in ENAE283H when we went into the labs to test the pressures around an airfoil at different angles of attack. It was interesting to see how the air flows around an airfoil at different angles.
